My two kids love their iPad. There are so many things they can do on it, and just like adults with their smartphones, you can literally be on it for hours. We limit their time on the iPad only because we’ve found them to get cranky after being on it too long. But, we notice how much they both learn and know after using the many apps we’ve put on the iPad.
My youngest, who is 3, has started playing with the iPad more and more. It’s amazing how much he is learning through different apps he plays with, along with YouTube Kids. However, we’ve noticed that he is pretty impatient, and it takes him a while to get the hang of an app. But when he does, he really enjoys himself!
We recently got a new app called Kidloland, after they reached out to me with a 3 month subscription to try out the app. From first glance, I noticed how colorful the app was. Also, there are so many options to choose from – from nursery rhymes, games, phonics and activities to build cognitive skills and hand-eye coordination! It was kind of overwhelming at first, but after some exploring I realized the potential of learning he could get from using this app.
There are so many different activities on the app, you have to download them, which does take some time. It’s best to have the activities you want your little one to play with ready to go, so they don’t get impatient. When I did this for my little one, he was able to dive into the activities in the app with no issue.
We’re still going through the activities on the app, but so far, he is liking it, and I have no doubt he will learn from using the Kidloland app!
