Haircuts for the New School Year at Cartoon Cuts

With a new school year around the corner, lots of families are getting ready – whether it is new uniforms, outfits and school supplies. But, what about getting haircuts?

If you’re like me, making sure my kids have a nice haircut to start the new year is a must. My oldest Ricky is going into 1st grade this year and he’s so excited for the new school year to start!

We recently went to Cartoon Cuts, which is a haircut salon for kids, to have him get his back to school haircut.

When we got there, we were greeted by Sharon who is the manager of the Wellington, FL salon, which is at the Wellington Mall. Then we took a “before” photo.

He then sat down, and had a cape put over his clothes and we decided on the haircut. I couldn’t help but notice Sharon asking Ricky about school, what color his backpack was and of course there was mentions about Disney in their conversation! Also, there was a tv with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing, but there were other options, if he wanted!

Sharon also told me about the different deals they have at Cartoon Cuts, such as:

  • Buy 5 haircuts and get 1 free when you prepay.
  • Join their loyalty program, where after 11 paid haircuts, you get your 12th free!
  • If you do Mommy and Me (or even Daddy and Me) haircuts, you get a percentage off!
  • Also, if you bring all the kids at once, pay for 2 child haircuts, and get 1/2 off for the 3rd child.

After she did the haircut, she asked Ricky if he wanted to wash his hair. This is something he’s never done before, so he didn’t know what to expect. I thought it was really cute that she made it fun for him, showing him the elephant trunk helped wash his hair. He was pretty happy afterwards and was all smiles!

Ricky wanted to add some gel to his hair, so Sharon styled his hair with the gel too!

Sharon also gave him a Cartoon Cuts Ellie the Elephant tattoo, which I had no idea you could use this app called HoloTats to make the tattoo come to life on the app! Ricky thought that was pretty cool!

Here is the “after” photo of Ricky’s fresh haircut!

Ricky loved how his haircut turned out, and so did I! He said he always wants to get his haircut at Cartoon Cuts now. Works for me!

Thank you so much Sharon and Cartoon Cuts for the great haircut experience!
