Ever since I had kids I made a point to do yearly holiday family photos. It’s nice to look back at the photos we’ve taken as a family year after year.
It requires some planning when it comes to what a family of 4 is going to wear, but it’s all about coordinating.
It also depends on the colors you like and where you’re going to be taking the photo. The outfit themes are endless, really!
Typically, we get out photos done at JCPenney because I buy a Groupon to get Christmas photo cards every year. It’s a good deal for us and we end up buying the digital photos for a discounted price. I also like how they have holiday backgrounds and how it is so easy to make an appointment online.
Here are some tips to coordinate your outfits for your family photos:
- Think basic colors instead of a print. It goes better with solid backgrounds, than a pattern or print.
- For the holidays, an outfit with red always seems to work and is festive, blue is also a great color.
- For the kids, matching outfits are always cute, or accessories that match, like a tie.
- I personally like to check out the clothes at Old Navy to find coordinating outfits.
