I have to admit something to you all. I love to shop. If I see a good deal that is hard to pass up, I will stop at nothing to get it. As a mom it is getting harder and harder to go out and just browse at the mall or even at Target to see what kind of deals I can find. In some ways it can be a good thing that I am shopping outside less, but then again, shopping online is way too easy.
I have all my shopping apps on my phone and can browse through them when the kids are asleep, or while they are playing. I have a dedicated folder on my iPhone for all my shopping apps, which makes it easy to find when I am planning to buy something.
Here are the apps that I use often and it essentially helps me save money on a regular basis.
Ebates Gives You Cash Back for Shopping
Ebates is basically a cash back site, where you basically go through their website first to shop. Once you complete a transaction, Ebates will verify your purchase through that specific store and give you a percentage back of your purchase. Having their app on your phone is great so if you are on the go, you can also just click through the app to the store you are shopping at. You must open the Ebates app first and click through to the online store to get the cash back.
Shopular Shows You Current Sales
This app is great because it puts all the current sales of many stores in the palm of your hand, literally! It is such an easy app to navigate, and the app also includes promo codes and coupons available for the specific store! Recently, the app integrated Ebates so if you click through the Shopular app and have your Ebates information set within Shopular, you can get cash back there too!
Using Walmart’s Savings Catcher
We all know Walmart has the lowest prices, but sometimes, they don’t! That’s why they are determined to be the store to have the lowest prices with the Savings Catcher. All you need to do is get the Walmart app, sign into your account and whenever you shop at Walmart, scan your receipt into Savings Catcher. It will analyze your purchases to make sure that their price was the lowest, and will check out other local stores in the area. If a price is lower elsewhere, they will pay you the difference! You can put the difference on a Walmart gift card or Bluebird AMEX debit card to use towards your Walmart purchases.
Target Cartwheel is a Must
If you shop at Target, then you have to know about Cartwheel, since Target advertises it throughout the store. It is a free app you can use to get discounts and coupons on certain items in the store. You have to make sure to add the item to your list, and at checkout, have the cashier scan your Cartwheel barcode. You will then see the discount applied to your total purchase and it will show on your receipt as well. The easiest way to check if an item has a Cartwheel discount of not is to just scan the barcode through the app. Easy peasy!
ibotta Scans Your Receipts for Cash Back
If you’re a savvy shopper, then you may have already heard of ibotta. If not, you’ll become a savvy shopper now! ibotta gives you cash back on purchases you’ve made. There are certain items that you can get cash back for on their app. All you need to do is scan the item and take a photo of the receipt to verify you bought the item. You can sign up for free and get $10 once you redeem a rebate!
Have you heard of any of these apps? If you already have any of these apps, how much money have you earned?
